Do you offer free UK delivery, and how much does shipping cost?

Yes — we offer free tracked UK delivery on all orders over £150. For orders under £150, a small tracked shipping charge is calculated at checkout. We ship within the United Kingdom on a Royal Mail tracked service, and most UK orders arrive on a tracked 24-hour service, so you'll usually have your kit the next working day after dispatch. You'll receive tracking details by email as soon as your order is on its way. Ghillie® is a British-designed outdoor clothing brand, and we aim to get your flannel shirts, caps, tees and gilets to you quickly and reliably — whether you're heading for the riverbank, the hill or the morning dog walk.

What is your returns and exchanges policy?

You have 14 days from receiving your order to request a return or exchange. To start one, log in to your account on our website and request a return; once it's approved, we email you a Royal Mail tracked returns link to send the item back — and you then have 5 working days to post it. Items must come back as received, with all tags attached. For hygiene reasons we can't accept returns on headwear such as caps and beanies. Refunds cover the value of the returned items only — original shipping isn't refunded. For an exchange, return the item in the wrong size and re-purchase the correct one. How does Ghillie sizing fit, should I size up or down?

Ghillie® clothing is designed to a true-to-size, regular fit, cut for movement outdoors rather than an oversized or slim look, so most people take their usual size. Our flannel shirts and gilets are made to layer, leaving room for a base layer or tee underneath without feeling tight; if you're between sizes or plan to wear heavier layers, sizing up gives a more relaxed fit. Individual product pages list specific measurements where available, and our caps use an adjustable strap for a one-size fit. Because headwear can't be returned for hygiene reasons, it's worth checking cap details before ordering. Still unsure? Where is Ghillie clothing made?

Ghillie® is a British brand: our clothing is designed in Britain, drawing on the landscape, weather and outdoor traditions of the UK. Like most modern clothing brands, the garments themselves are manufactured by trusted partners overseas, chosen for their skill with the specific fabrics we use , while our designs, fabric choices, fit and finish are all developed here in Britain. We're deliberately clear about this rather than claiming our products are made in the UK. What "British" means for Ghillie is the design vision, the testing on home rivers and hills, and a commitment to practical, hard-wearing kit, not a single manufacturing location. Where a specific product's country of manufacture matters to you, it's noted in that product's details.

What is a ghillie?

A ghillie (from the Scottish Gaelic gille) is a traditional Highland attendant who guides and assists on a fishing or hunting expedition, the person who knows the river, reads the water and helps you get the best from a day outdoors. The word is also the root of "ghillie suit," the camouflage worn by hunters. We took the name Ghillie because it captures what our clothing is for: dependable, understated kit for people who actually spend time on the water and in the field. A good ghillie is practical, weather-tested and quietly expert, the same qualities we design into every shirt, cap, tee and gilet we make.

Does Ghillie donate to the Atlantic Salmon Trust?

Yes. Ghillie® donates 5% of profits to the Atlantic Salmon Trust, a charity working to protect wild Atlantic salmon and the rivers they depend on. Wild salmon numbers have fallen sharply in recent decades, and healthy rivers matter to everyone who fishes, walks or simply values the British countryside. Because so much of what we make is worn on the riverbank, supporting the water itself felt like the right thing to do. The contribution is a share of our profits, not a fixed amount per order, and it's an ongoing commitment, not a one-off campaign.
