About Ghillie
Ghillie makes timeless field and workwear: wool jackets, flannel shirts and knitwear built to be passed down. One wardrobe for every kind of outside: the hill, the shore, the garden, the boat, the walk home.
Field-tested
Field-tested clothing in natural, durable fibres, made to be lived in. Field-tested means worn and proven by us before it is sold: the farm, the hill, the river. Not lab testing, not performance theatre. If a piece does not survive the seasons with us, it does not join the range.
We give 5% of profits to the Atlantic Salmon Trust. A cause we care about: giving back to our rivers.
Made properly
Natural fibres first: wool, brushed cotton and goose down, with a synthetic blended in only where it earns its place. Our own Tech Wool took two years to get right. YKK zips, because they still work in year five. Warmth, comfort and years of wear, designed in Britain. Worn in, not worn out.
Why the name
A ghillie is the person who knows the river best. Quietly expert, out in all weathers, never the centre of attention. It seemed like the right standard to build clothing to.
What we stand for
Bought once. Worn often. Fewer, better garments. The kind you reach for daily and keep for years.
Built to be passed down. Timeless cuts and honest materials, made to outlast seasons and trends.
Designed in Britain. Drawn up here and worn hard here, made by partners chosen for their craft.
